Search Westside Properties through
the Themls.com Search Engine
|
|
Did you know that every property whether a home, apartment
building, condominium, or land is on The Westside Multiple
Listing Service at www.themls.com? It’s true! You can
search the same database of properties that brokers use. Read on
to find out how to search for properties.
Starting
your property search
It’s simple! Click the link below to go to
www.themls.com. At the entrance page (pictured below)
click on the guests button. (Click
here to go to the MLS search engine now and start
searching or continue reading for further instructions)

Once you click the guests button you will see a large map
(pictured below). Click anywhere on the map and you will be take
to the search screen.

At the MLS search screen (pictured below) you’ll see you can
choose the property type, price range, the number of beds and
baths, and the City or cities that you wish. Once you have
selected your criteria, hit the submit button to start the
search.

The
Search Results Screen
Once your results of your search pop up you will see a screen
like this:
To see the full information of any listing, click on the blue
link and you will see a full text description, a photo of the
property, and under the photo you will see the MLS™ number.

Once you’ve clicked on the blue link you will see the full
listing detail of that property.
How to get more information on the
properties you find
You’ll notice that every listing that has an MLS™ Number located
under the photo. This is the identifying number of the property
that is assigned to it when it is listed. Write down this MLS™ number because you may need it later.
How to email this property to Derrick
Ruiz
If you want more info on this property or you want me to make an
appointment to see this property, simply hit the E-Mail My Agent
button located on the lower left hand part of the screen. Your
email program will appear and already have the MLS™ number and
the address in the subject line. Next
make sure you put my email address in the To: section -
derrick@digitalrealtor.com.
If you are using a web based email program like yahoo or
hotmail, you may need to open it and manually write in the MLS™ number’s and addresses of the properties you wish to see.
What I do with the properties you send
me
When I receive them I will call the listing broker and find out
if the property is still available or if it is in escrow. I will
also get more info about it and also find out how you can see
the property in person. I will then call you back. If you want
quick info please make sure to put your phone number in any
email you send me if I don’t already have it.
Important Reminder
Remember that many of the properties on the Internet are either
sold or in escrow. That is why it is so important to have a
broker follow up quickly to determine the property’s status.
